2nd Annual National Heads-Up Poker Championship took place this year in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The contestants of this prestigious event were a select group of 64 players and one 21 years old Internet player that eventually won the $20,000 seat.
Caesars Palace was packed with the who's who of poker including Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth (Last year's winner), Phil Laak, Chris Moneymaker, Cyndy Violetter and many others.
One of the Hollywood celebrities that attended the championship was the actress Jennifer Tilly that even skipped the Oscars in order to compete. Although she was eliminated in Saturday's first round, she said that she had no regrets about missing the Oscar night because unlike the movie industry, in the world of poker she do have the chance to win half a million dollars.
