The first Small Town Poker Tour round of 2006 STPT Amateur Championships will begin on July 29 in Atrium Hotel in Monroe LA. According to Mark Fracalossi STPT Executive Producer, the Small Town Poker Tour is designated to the average American poker player who cannot afford paying 10,000 dollars admission fees to the World Series of Poker tournaments.
Part of the profits from the first 2006 STPT event in Monroe LA will benefit Uniformed Law Officers of Ouachita Parish Louisiana. Admission fees will cost 10 dollars plus 50 dollars buy-ins, which will create 10,000 dollars prize pool on top of the charity money. The champion will be rewarded with a 3000 dollars Visa Gift Card in addition to a seat at the STPT World Amateur Championships that will be held in Las Vegas.
The Small Town Poker Tour is the biggest series of amateur poker tournaments in the world. The STPT focuses on searching the top amateur poker players worldwide. In addition, STPT focuses on fundraising and it is involved in some of the most notable charity events.
