Vanessa Rousso is the winner of the 5,000 dollars buy in No Limit Event, which took place at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City on Friday, September 15. The 5,000 dollars buy in No Limit Event is the ninth event of the 2006 Borgata Poker Open.
Rousso won the biggest prize in the history of Borgata Poker Open. She took home a sum of 285,450 dollars. It is also one of the biggest cash prizes ever won by a woman poker player. The second finisher, Doran Malinasky, won 151,375 dollars and the top online poker pro Cliff Johnny Bax Josephy, who finished third place, took home a sum of 86,500 dollars.
The final event of the 2006 Borgata Poker Open will be held on Tuesday, September 19 at 5 pm with a million dollar first place prize, a Rolex watch and a 25,000 dollars seat at the World Poker Tour championship.
