The District Attorney of Outagamie County is being accused of not filing a 2 year old gambling case to allegedly protect family members.
To stop these unfounded rumors she has decided to file the case in the next 30 days. She also said she would disclose all information pertaining to the gambling probe when she files the case just to prove she is not trying to hide anything.
The charges are from a 2005 Super Bowl poll at the Legacy Supper Club in Grand Chute.
The case was investigated for 6 months by the State justice Department, after the investigation the case was handed to the DA’s office for her to prosecute the case.
Instead of acting on the case she let it sit. It was this inaction that led to the rumors of her trying to protect a family member, and not any evidence that anyone on her family was even involved in the first place.
According to her she let the case sit because they were only misdemeanor gambling charges and her time could be better spent putting murderers and felons in jail.
She is calling the rumors ridicules and unfounded, and she is hoping that filing the case will end them for good.
