Flextech
Television is launching a new poker, football and fighting channel. The
new channel, Player, is billed as an "action, adventure. fighting,
gambling, poker, football and drive-time" channel and will be the sister
channel of Flextech's successful channel Challenge.
The channel is planned to be a 24-hour channel and Flextech promised that
it will be "gritty and intense" and that their shows will explore the
worlds of poker, football, fighting and other adventurous
activities.
Some of the movies and shows that are already scheduled to be this
channel's highlights includes Scorsese's "Casino", drama series "Tilt",
the European
Poker Tour tournaments and live motor-racing from the FIA GT
championship.
Flextech is owned by NTL
and has 11 channels including Bravo, LivingTV, Trouble and Challenge. The
new channel Player will be launched in early March.
