A former Indiana state teamster boss has been released on bail after being arrested on charges of running a cross county video gambling ring, over a month ago.
Federal Officers arrested the former teamster boss and drove him to Indianapolis, after he was released from the Madison County jail, for violating his federal probation. Latter in the day he was released from federal custody according to the Supervisory Deputy Marshal.
According to the assistant U.S. attorney he is expected to appear in court on November 22nd to see if his federal probation should be revoked, and sent back to prison.
The one time teamster boss was arrested on September 18th, when he was charged with felony charges for professional gambling, promoting professional gambling, money laundering and corrupt business influence.
These new charges come about one and a half years after he was released from a federal prison, for pleading guilty to charges of illegal gambling, money laundering and tax evasion.
The bond for these latest allegations was 2 million dollars but the judge then lowered it to $75,000 on the 30th of November.
The former teamster president%u2019s attorney had no comments on the recent charges.
