It is common for you to see the poker pros covering their faces or eyes to keep from revealing their emotions at the table or giving away their hands.
Some wear dark sunglasses to cover their eyes and
black caps to hide their entire head, or the grunge look of someone hiding all the way inside of a hooded sweatshirt to disguise themselves in the heat of the moment.
Now
Fox Sports Net's Poker Dome Challenge TV program is trying to strip down the players by outfitting them with pulse monitors taped to their chest before taping the game. This is just one of the new crazes sweeping the huge poker craze on TV.
They are hoping that it will add a bit more to the television experience of how a poker player thinks, so now they will be able to show exactly how someone is controlling their heart beat, or even if their heart beat increases as the stakes rise.
You will really begin to see who the real poker players are and who the players are who are bluffing and covering up due to some other thing happening at the poker table, or also to not tip off their opponents as to what they are holding.
It will be a new type venture the way that the hole card cameras were introduced into the table during the beginning of 2003.
This should be very interesting to see as a new added feature to the inside of a poker players head as they compete for thousands of dollars every day in huge poker tournaments on TV.
