David Z. from the University of Illinois is the third college student to win a car in the College Poker Championship promotion. If David decides to participate in the College Poker Championship, he can win a 50,000 dollars scholarship. All the top ten finishers at the main event tournament would be able to donate 1,000 dollars of their pool prize to a chosen charity.
The Win-A-Car Promotion has been running since September 2005. In order to win the desired car, students from around the world have to participate in regional qualifiers poker tournaments. Every 8 weeks, a student who gained the highest score gets to drive home with a brand new car. Three students had already won cars, and only one car is left.
