19-year-old pre-law student Brandon Bornancin created a poker website some months ago, after realising how poker addictions were forcing fellow students to leave university. Free50now.com is the vehicle for online poker companies to negotiate contracts. Bornancin gets paid for that when a contract is fulfilled. He works like a gambling agent, as a matter of fact. Online poker companies recruit professional and new poker players, who after visiting Bornancins site, they are leaded to other online poker sites. This poker entrepeneur says he is making most of his money from advertising these online poker sites where players are directed.
Bornancins site gives visitors 50 dollars free to use at the sites he links to. He invested up to 4.000 dollars in his small business, which has proved extremely succesful. He turned a profit in two months and bought a motorcycle. Now he is planning to save his money and put it toward investments. He did not reveal how much profit he actually makes from his site, but he said that he bought land in Florida and is willing to buy a convertible Porsche.
The site works wonderfully, with eight to twenty people signing up every hour to play poker. His business and his studies keep Bornancin terribly busy, but he does not want any partners, because he does not want to lose money. He avoids being described as a person made of money. He said that he worked hard to get it and does not like that image.
Bornancin deeply studied the game of Texas Holdem by reading books and watching tournaments on television. His knowledge, along with his skills and some luck, he says, are the key for his success. He has many expectations on his website and hopes students and pros nationwide will get to know it. Bornancin is planning to travel to Florida, Niagara Falls, Michigan, and Las Vegas to recruit more companies and players.
A friend of Bornancin, Ryan Skubic, won over 1,700 dollars in different poker tournaments. He said that after playing the game many hours a week he made a lot of money, for the effort was worthy. The same as Mike Ferrell, a junior student that won over 10,000 dollars in half year. Ferrell said that he takes his gaming as a job.
