Spit in the Ocean

Spit in the ocean is a hybrid between a community and a draw poker game where each player is dealt four cards and another card, which is called the "spit", is flipped from the top of the cards deck.
Even if it seems very similar to community card games, we decided to include it as a draw game because it is mostly a draw card game.

Rules :

This variation of draw poker starts when the dealer deals each player four cards (the pocket) and another one, faced up, in the middle of the table. This card is shared as the fifth card in each one of the player's hands and called the "spit".
Then the first betting round is played and later a draw that leaves each player with the same amount of four cards in his hand. After that the second and final betting round is played followed by the showdown.
The winner of the game is the player with the highest hand.

Variations :

Stormy Weather
This variation is played with three community cards; all of them are dealt face-down. After the draw, each one of those community cards is flipped over followed by a betting round, one at a time.
At the showdown each player has to make the best hand using his own four cards (the pocket) and one of the cards from the three community cards.

Wild Widow
In this variation, the spit card and all the matching cards in each player's hand are considered to be wild cards. Sometimes the dealer can decide that the spit card itself is not wild, but the other matching cards are.
